Sally I. Stewart Byers

Sally I. Stewart Byers, age 77 passed away at Mercy Hospital Fairfield on Wednesday March 25, 2009 at 8:06 PM. She was born in Jackson County, Kentucky on May 4, 1931 the daughter of Mount and Lora (Towles) Stewart. Sally was a member of Happy Corners Pentecostal Church. On February 8, 1950 she married Robert E. Byers and he preceded her in death in 2002.

She is survived by six children, Rick and Ilene Janos of Hamilton, Kenneth Lee Byers I of Hamilton, Brenda and Randy Lipps of Hamilton, Bobbi Reed of Richland, Mississippi, Dean and Brenda Byers of Richland, Mississippi, and Anthony and Sheri Byers of Brookville, Indiana; one sister, Virginia Bundy of Phoenix, Arizona; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Sally was a loving, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse; three sisters, Bernice McClain, Hazel Owens, and Nola Cunnigan; one brother, Clifford Stewart; and a son-in-law, James Lee Reed.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Tom Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.
