Samuel "Sammy" Turner

Samuel “Sammy” Turner, age 71 of Oxford, went on to be with the Lord on Friday, September 12, 2025. Known to most as Sammy, he was born in Hamilton, Ohio on August 25, 1954 to Bertha June (Branham) Turner and the late Edward Turner. Sammy graduated from Talawanda High School, class of 1973 and worked for Square D for many years. From an early age, Sammy developed a passion for raising and showing pigeons. He was also an avid fisherman. If he wasn’t attending to his flock or catching fish, you would probably find him strumming his guitar, listening to music, enjoying a classic Sci-Fi movie or watching football. Above all, he loved God and his family more than anything.

Sammy will be dearly missed by his mother, Bertha June Turner; his siblings, Daniel Turner, Gary (Kim) Turner, Carrie (Mike) Owens, and Theresa (Kirk) Miracle-Bataille; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Sammy is reunited in Heaven with his father, Edward Turner and his niece, Christy Lynn Turner.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the time of his Funeral Service at 12:00 NOON at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home – Westside Chapel, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton OH 45013 with Rev. Joe McIntosh officiating. Burial will follow at Darrtown Cemetery.
