Sandra T. Beer

Sandra T. Beer, age 80 formerly of Hamilton, OH, passed away at Orion Manor Nursing Home in Lake Orion, MI on Saturday, March 11, 2017. Sandra was born in Hamilton, Ohio on September 10, 1936 to Vernon Lake and Gertrude (Arno) Lake. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1954. Sandra graduated from Mercy Hospital School of nursing in 1957. She was a Registered Nurse for over 20 years at St. Joseph Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan. On April 27, 1957 in Hamilton, she married Carl Beer and he preceded her in death in 2001. She loved cooking, reading, going on cruises, spending time with family and friends, and especially her grandchildren.

Sandra is survived by her children; Dr. Michael (Nanette) Beer, Susan Oles, Natalie (Nathaniel) Usher, Maribeth (Richard) Green, Marc Beer, and Scott (Linda) Beer; 18 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild Addie Grace; and one sister Margot Howard. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Carl Beer; two sisters, Joanne Hall, Eloise "Pudgy" Tenbusch; and one daughter- in-law, Jennifer Beer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, 451 Ridgelawn Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Rob Muhlenkamp of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church celebrant. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home 1350 Millville Ave. In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, www.parkinson.org, or The American Diabetes Foundation,www.diabetes.org.
