Sharon L. Gibbs

Sharon L. Gibbs, age 69 of Oxford, passed away at her residence on Thursday, March 2, 2017. Sharon was born in Waynesville, Ohio on April 14, 1947 to Walter Friend and Mary (Bogan) Woolery. She was the Daycare Director at Twinbrook Hills Baptist Church for many years. Sharon loved gardening, spending time with her family, and especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her church family. On August 6, 1964 in Hamilton at Eleventh St. Baptist Church, she married William Gibbs.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 52 years, William Gibbs; two daughters, Paula (Terry) Selke and Kathy (Jeff) McGraw; six grandchildren, Kelly (Adam) Rosenbalm, Chad Selke, Kaitlin (Chris) Fox, Nathan Selke, Korinne (Israel) Conder, and Luke Selke; six great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Caleb, Christopher, Joshua, Elise, and Daniel; five siblings, Pam Webb, Rose Neeley, Kathy (Ricky) Robertson, Kim Pelfrey, Aaron (Vickie) Miranda; and one sister in law Linda Friend. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother Dana Friend.

Funeral service will be held at Bibleway Missionary Baptist, 1324 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ron Pittman of Bibleway Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bibleway Missionary Baptist Church, and also immediatley before the funeral service from 10:00AM – 11:00AM on Tuesday.
