Shawnie Rae Cook

Shawnie Rae Cook, age 62 of Hamilton, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017. Shawnie was born in Hamilton, Ohio on September 20, 1954 to Lawrence and Florence (Philpot) McDaniel. She worked for the City of Hamilton for 16 years. Shawnie enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo, and going to the Casino.

Shawnie is survived by her husband of 44 years, Jerry Cook; her children, Shannon Cook and Dustin Cook; her grandson, Benton Cook; her siblings, Marcia Cope, Scott (Becky) McDaniel, Kip McDaniel, and Jamie McDaniel; and her dear friends, Bonnie Webb and Marilyn Watts. Shawnie was preceded in death by her sister, Kathy Andrews; her parents; her mother-in-law, Rebecca Hamilton; and her brother-in-law, Delmer Hall.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Walt Philpot officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
