Sheila F. Potter (née Steinman), loving wife of Donald, mother of Jason (Stephanie) Potter, grandmother of William Potter and sister of Maynard (Charlotte) Steinman passed peacefully into the arms of God on the morning of Sunday, June 23, 2024. Sheila was predeceased by her husband Donald, her brother Maynard, and her parents Raymond “Slatzie” and Wanda Steinman.
Sheila was born to Raymond and Wanda Steinman on December 17, 1934 and was raised in the wonderful community of Arlington in Hancock County, Ohio. Raised a church-going soul and like her mother before her, Sheila lived only to serve the people and things she loved before herself. After enrolling at Ashland Nurses College, Sheila transferred to the University of Cincinnati and completed her nursing degree, going on to care for children at the tuberculosis ward of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. After adopting Jason, Sheila retired from nursing to be a devoted housewife and mother, always putting others before herself. One would find Sheila at the church rummage sale or canning, baking, or sewing goods to sell at the church bazaar. Sheila most enjoyed cooking, reading and playing cards with friends.
