Sheridan Becknell

Sheridan Becknell, age 91 of Hamilton, passed away at Golden Years Nursing Home on Monday, June 11, 2018. He was born in Owsley County, Kentucky on October 9, 1926 the son of Sheridan and Otie (Mays) Becknell. Sheridan was a veteran of World War II with the United States Army from 1945 – 1946. On February 26, 1949 in Covington, Kentucky he married Eva L. Walton and she preceded him in death in 2005. Sheridan was employed as a forklift driver and assembler for International Paper for twenty-eight years, retiring in 1990 and a member of the Millville Avenue Church of God.

He is survived by his daughter, Donna (Craig) Wyatt-Smith; grandson, Eric Wyatt; sister, Margie Moffitt; his stepdaughter, Margie Campbell and her family; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ray Becknell.

Funeral service will be held at Millville Avenue Church of God, 1369 Millville Avenue, on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Tim Cole officiating. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the church.
