Shirely A. Hartleb

Shirley A. Hartleb, age 78 of Hamilton, passed away at Woodlands of Hamilton on Wednesday, February 19, 2014. She was born in Hamilton on August 18, 1935 to Earl and Barbara (Raps) Gaines. On May 4, 1957, she married Neil Thomas and they both enjoyed 47 years of marriage. Shirley was employed at Ohio Casualty, retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ.

She is survived by two brothers-in-law, Dan (NaDeen) Hartleb and Jay (Dale) Hartleb; two sisters-in-law, JoAnn Schoeler and Dorothy Hartleb; 10 nieces and nephews; and 11 great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, three brothers-in-law, and one niece. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at The Woodlands of Hamilton and Vitas Hospice for their care and support. Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24, 2014 from 10- 11 AM at the funeral home.
