Shirlena Hornsby

Shirlena Hornsby, age 68 of Trenton passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2010. She was born in Clay County, Kentucky on July 14, 1941 the daughter of David and Lue (Cope) Turner. Shirlena was a member of Full Gospel Church. On June 6, 1959 in Hamilton, she married Aaron Hornsby.

She is survived by her husband, Aaron Hornsby of Trenton; a daughter, Kathleen (Perry) Irvin of Trenton; two grandchildren, Taira McCoy and Brooks Irvin, both of Trenton; two great-grandchildren, Mariah McCoy and Abbighail Irvin; three brothers, Gary (Louise Hyatt) Turner, Clinton Turner, both of Hamilton, and Louis (Jane) Turner of Middletown; a sister, Nannie (Vernon) Leece of Hamilton; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Roger Dale Hornsby; three brothers, Jerry Turner, David Turner, and Charles McDaniels; and a sister, Louise Turner.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Harold Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon.
