Shirley Gentry

Shirley Gentry, age 56 of Fairfield Township passed away at Mercy Hospital Fairfield on Wednesday, June 24, 2009. She was born in Harveyton, Kentucky on April 8, 1953 the daughter of Val Gene and Norma Lee (Feltner) Turner. Shirley was employed as a systems analyst for Union Central Life Insurance Company for 25 years. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, and was a member of Rivers of Life Church of God. On June 10, 1972 in Hamilton, she married Ronald Gentry.

She is survived by her husband, of 37 years, Ronald Gentry; a son, Aaron Gentry; a granddaughter, Hannah Gentry; three brothers, Ron (Vickie) Turner, Darrel Turner, and Rick (Kim) Turner; two sisters, Kim Allen and Lynn (Steve) Perkins; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Glenn Turner.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, June 29, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Wilma Jackson of Rivers of Life Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
