Shirley Hicks

Shirley Hicks, age 65 of Hamilton, passed away at Golden Years Nursing Home on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 6:30 AM. Shirley was born in Pineville, Kentucky on August 31, 1953 to Lloyd and Lorene "Rene" (Hooker) Smith. She enjoyed shopping, watching Hallmark movies, country music, going to church, and spending time with her family. On September 3, 1976, she married Wayne Hicks and together they had one daughter.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 42 years, Garry Wayne Hicks; her daughter, Rebecca (Jack) Alspaugh; her grandson, Connor Alspaugh; her sister, Patsy Johnson; her nieces, Heidi Nafe and Heather Parrella; her nephews, Mark Johnson and Tim Webb. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Wendell Coning officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
