Shirley Ann Lakes

February 9, 1944 — December 17, 2007

Shirley Ann Lakes, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, age 63 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Monday, December 17, 2007. She was born in Hazard, Kentucky on February 9, 1944. Shirley was the daughter of William and Myrtle (Joseph) Hall. She was a former employee of Meijer and was a member of Tylersville Road Church of Christ.

She is survived by her daughters, Jamie (Lakes) Tomblinson and her husband Larry, Tammy Jackels and her husband Jeff, and Michelle Lissal and her husband Jeff; thirteen grandchildren; a great-grandson; the father of her children, Jim Lakes; two sisters, Marlene Inman and her husband Tony and Wanda Bryant and her husband Arthur; many nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, December 20, 2007 from 12:00 noon to time of funeral service at 1:00 PM with Richard Bunner of Tylersville Road Church of Christ officiating. Private burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Hospice of Hamilton, especially Lois, Nan, Virginia, Christie, Susan, and Evelyn for their care and support.
