Shirley F. Reece

Shirley F. Reece, age 80 of Hamilton went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 3:44 AM at University Hospital, Cincinnati. She was born in Cherry, Illinois on September 7, 1926 the daughter of William and Goldie (Waller) Skeoch. A homemaker, Shirley was devoted to her family and was a member of Bible-Way Missionary Baptist Church. On November 16, 1946 in Brookville, Indiana she married George Reece, who passed away on January 23, 2004.

She is survived by eight sons, Arthur (Frances) Reece, William (Nancy) Reece, both of Hamilton, George Michael Reece of Trenton, Jack (Kathy) Reece, Stanley (Karen) Reece, Chuck (Barb) Reece, James (Kim) Reece, and Ronald (Joyce) Reece, all of Hamilton; four daughters, Susan (Clyde) Rose, Thelma (Brett) Britt, Barbara (Kenneth) Bruce, all of Hamilton, and Nancy Washnock of Hebron, Kentucky; a daughter-in-law, Jackie Reece of Middletown; 47 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jack (Marlene) Skeoch of Dunkirk, Indiana; a brother-in-law, Art Doerflein of Cedar Grove, Indiana; very special friend, Mary Waller of Harrison, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Goldie Skeoch; her husband, George; a son, Steven Wayne Reece; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Reece; son-in-law, Kevin Washnock; a grandson, Ernie Hubbard; two brothers, Charles Skeoch and Kenneth Skeoch; and two sisters, Helen Doerflein and Thelma Jones.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, March 23, 2007 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Terry Zeller of Bible-Way Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bible-Way Missionary Baptist Church.
