Stanley "Bud", "Stan The Man", Protzman Jr

Stanley "Bud", "Stan the Man", Protzman Jr., age 80 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 7:00 AM. He was born in Hamilton on June 8, 1932 the son of Stanley Sr. and Ruby (Craycraft) Protzman. Stanley was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1952-1954 and was employed at Beckett Paper and Hamilton Tool, which he retired from. Stanley was an avid golfer and won the City of Hamilton Golf Tournament in 1956. He was a former member of the Monkey Mutual Aid Society and the American Legion, Amvets, and the VFW. On May 5, 1962 in New Haven, Ohio he married Bonnie Estes.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Protzman of Hamilton; two sons, Wes Protzman and Stephen Protzman, both of Hamilton; two step-sons, Daniel Hall and Mark (Jean) Hall, both of Hamilton; a daughter, Vicki (Scott) Dreyer of Oxford; two brothers, John (Lois) Protzman of Hamilton and Martin Protzman of Cincinnati; three sisters, Darlene (Robert) Martin of Cincinnati, Janet Fields of Hamilton, and Joetta Blower of Middletown; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Michael Protzman.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 11AM. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10AM until time of service at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Hamiton.
