Stanley R. Wilson, Sr., age 72 of Hamilton passed away at Tri-County Extended Care Center on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 8:25 AM. He was born in Hamilton on January 16, 1937 the son of William T. and Icy M. (Aldrich) Wilson. Stanley was retired from the shipping and receiving department at Crescent Park Distribution.
He is survived by three children, Shelly (Rick) Lambert of Hamilton, Darrell (Jeana) Wilson of West Chester, and Stanley R. "Smokey" (Paula) Wilson, Jr. of Hamilton; five sisters, Dorothy Patton, Ethel Ledford, Norma Frank, Betty Eubanks, and Tootsie Goddard; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jeff "Dusty" Wilson; three brothers, Donnie, Tommy, and Dickie Wilson; and one sister, Linda Amburgey.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Saturday, November 14, 2009 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Diana Bailey, Nikki Hawkins, and Larry Webb for all their care and support.
