Stella Marcum

Stella Marcum, age 91 of Hamilton passed away in Fort Hamilton Hospital on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at 11:45 AM. She was born in Rockcastle County, Kentucky on August 23, 1917, the daughter of Casper and Rebecca (Head) Mullins. Stella was a 1936 graduate of Hamilton High School and also a graduate of the Hamilton Business School. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Bob Kihm’s Chevrolet Agency for thirty years retiring in 1979. In 1937 in Lafayette, Georgia, she was married to Glyndon Marcum and he preceded her in death in 1977.

She is survived by one son, Duane Marcum of Fairfield; three grandchildren, Terri Clement of Jupiter, Florida, Gary Marcum of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Mike (Michola) Marcum of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and also one great-grandchild, Ryan Marcum. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Millard "Joe" and Phil Mullins.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Greenwood Cemetery on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Marvin Cann of Faith Pentecostal Church of Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Christmas Fund of Butler County Care Facility, 1800 Princeton Rd. Hamilton, Ohio 45011.
