Stephen Miller

Stephen Miller, age 73 of Hanover Township, passed away at Kettering Medical Center on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. Stephen was born in Hamilton, Ohio to Nathan Miller and Maxine (Maddock) Miller. Stephen was raised on a farm in Reily Township, Ohio.  He was a proud member of the graduating class of 1967 at Reily High School, where he was a star basketball player. Stephen was a United States Army Veteran serving in Vietnam from 1969 – 1970.  He worked as a machinist at Hamilton Tool for over 30 years. After leaving Hamilton Tool, he started his own small machine shop and worked there until his passing.  Stephen’s passions included working on the family farm and gardening and was a “jack of all trades”. Over the years, Stephen made many lasting friendships from Reily High School, Hamilton Tool, while owning his own business and farming. Stephen is survived by his loving wife, Melanie (Lopriore) Miller of almost 52 years; his two sons, Adam (Michelle) Miller, Lance Miller; his siblings, Betty (Eddie) Emenaker, Jim (Sandy) Miller, and Tom Miller; and also many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan Miller and Maxine Miller; and one sister, Carol (Rebman) Leslie; his mother and father-in-law, Roch and Nancy Lopriore; and brother-in-Law, David Lopriore. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio 45013. Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 12:00 PM with Pastor Chris Trumbull officiating. Private family burial will take place at Springdale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Shared Harvest Food Bank and Hanover Township Fire Department and EMS, or Reily Township Fire Department and EMS.
