Steven W. Blanton

Steven W. Blanton, age 60 of Trenton, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 26, 2014. He was born in Vernon Parish, Lousiana on June 21, 1953 to William and Ruby (Rice) Blanton. Steven retired from AK Steel in 2006 after 35 years. Steven was currently employed with United Performance Metals in Hamilton. He was an active member of Richmond Road Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Diane, two daughters Mandy (Travis Mize) and Megan (Tim) Snively; and two precious grandbabies who were the love of his life Wyatt and Madison Snively; he is also survived by his mother in law Maxine Combs, two brothers Tim and Kevin (Madeline) Blanton, brother in law Ronnie Combs; best friends Steve and Dawana Lucas; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Mike Blanton, father in law Estill Combs and sister in law Ruth Blanton.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 11 AM-1 PM at the funeral home.
