Steven Menke

Steven B. Menke, age 66 of Hamilton, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 24, 2025, with his family at his side. Known to most as Steve, he was born in Hamilton, Ohio on December 28, 1958, to the late Joseph and Angela (Schnapp) Menke. Steve graduated from Badin High School and went on to work for Bobcat Enterprises in West Chester for almost three decades. Steve then became the owner and operator of Ben Hur Trailers in Hamilton before retiring in 2017. In retirement, most folks knew him as ‘Steve the Bobcat Man’ and he continued to operate his own small repair shop. When Steve wasn’t turning a wrench, he was likely at his camp site with his wife, Noreda at Heritage Hills Campground in Liberty, Indiana or enjoying the much warmer weather in Fort Meyers, Florida during the winter. Steve will be remembered for his strong work ethic and dedication, but above all, for his love for his family, especially his grandkids.

Steve will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 47 years, Noreda Menke; his sons, Thomas (Emily) Menke and Anthony (Jessica) Menke; his grandchildren, Skyler, Landyn, Wyatt, Avery, and Nolan; his siblings, Joseph Menke, Cecilia (Johnny) Schoenith, Robert (Patricia) Menke, Lawrence (Lynn) Menke, James (Carol) Menke, JoAnn Menke Nordwick, and Kathleen Menke Howell; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and many close friends.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents; his parents-in-law, Willard & June Chappell; and his sister-in-law, Corliss Menke.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home - Westside Chapel, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton OH 45013.

Funeral services will be held the next day, Friday, August 1, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home - Westside Chapel, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton OH 45013. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery.
