Susan E. Deems

Susan E. Deems, age 70 of Hamilton, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014. She was born in Lee County, West Virginia on August 12, 1943 to Riley and Hallie (Eldridge) Johnson. Susan retired from Cintas after 10 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and a good Christian woman.

She is survived by her children, Gail Henson, Bonita (Mike) Taylor, Alan Hubbard, Steven Hubbard, and Karen Thomas; grandchildren, Stephanie Williams, Jodie Thomas, David Taylor, Michael Taylor, Jimmy Barker, Curtis Hubbard, Trisha Hubbard, Brianna Hubbard, Chad Hubbard, Christa Hubbard, and Natasha Hubbard; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 stepchildren; brothers, Riley (Wilma) Johnson and Robert (Helen) Johnson; and sisters, Rose Mae (Jim) Hays and Eileen (Charles) Clemons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Deems; parents; brothers, JP, Richard, Scott, and Lee Johnson; sisters, Mary Johnson, Marie Philpot, Pearl Johnson, and Anna Brothers; and a grandson, Ronnie Everette.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 12:00 pm with Pastor Robert Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
