A Tribute from Her Children Susan was a peacemaker, if ever one lived in this world. She was kind, humble, thoughtful, and loyal, held great compassion for mankind, judged no one, and held a humor which those in the family called the Sims sense of humor. Everyone in her family could tell stories for days regarding her humor. Steadfast in her faith to God, she held much courage, but of all traits she carried, the greatest of these was love; a love that can come only from one source, our Father in Heaven and our beloved Jesus Christ. Our mother Susan was loving and cared for each and every member of her large family, and because of how she expressed herself they knew of that love. We, her children, know how her brothers, sisters, brother-in-law Gene, and sister-in-law Dinah held especially fast to her during her time of illness, for which she was grateful to the very end. Know that her children honor each and every one of you. We love you, just as she did. Mom adored her grandchildren and was proud of each and every one of them. She told them so every time that she saw them, and she would want them to know not to be sad, and not to be afraid, but to love Jesus with all their hearts and their entire minds because that is all that really matters in this life; and she will be waiting for you, each of you. We were so blessed to have her; what she has taught us by showing us can never be measured. Good job, Mommy, good job. Good and faithful servant, we will miss you.
