Susan Darlene Rose

Susan Darlene Rose, age 75 of Hamilton, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, April 25, 2024. Susan was born in Harrison, Ohio on December 26, 1948 to George Reece and Shirley (Skeoch) Reece.  On February 23, 1973 she married Clydell Rose and was blessed with two sons whom she loved dearly. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren that filled her heart with joy. There was nothing more that she loved than spending time with her family. She loved taking her grandchildren to the parks and spending time with them the same way that her grandfather Skeoch did with her. She was proud of her large family and loved the times she spent with them. She had many fond memories of growing up with 9 brothers and 3 sisters. She had a big heart and always put the needs of others ahead of her own. Whether a home cooked meal, phone call, or a visit she was always there. She was employed at Elks Country Club for over 20 years where she made many friends and loved the people she served.  When the country club closed she worked at Kroger bakery until her retirement. She loved working in her garden and grew the best tomatoes. Her garden was open to everyone, much like her heart. She loved to cook, especially for the holidays and family events. She was a member of Bibleway Baptist Church and lived her life with faith in God and Jesus her savior. She was a wonderful sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Rest in heavenly peace until we meet again.

Susan is survived by her loving husband, Clydell Rose; her sons, Jonathan (Angela) Rose, Kevin Rose: Grandchildren Nicholas Rose, Haley Rose, Isabella Rose, Benjamin Rose, Elin Rose, Andrew Rose, Samuel Rose; Great Grandchildren Bella Cruz, Malia Rodriguez; Siblings, Arthur (Frances) Reece, Mike Reece, Jack (Kathy) Reece, Stan (Karen) Reece, Chuck (Carolyn) Reece, Jim (Bobbi Jo) Reece, Thelma (Brett) Britt, Barbara Bruce, Ronnie (Joyce) Reece, Nancy (Bill) Bullock; sister in laws Nancy Reece, Jackie Reece, Darlene (Jim) Pennix. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, her loving first husband Tom Kiesewetter; baby girl Tonya Jo Kiesewetter; brothers Steve Reece, Bill Reece; sister in laws Barbara (Black) Reece, Barbara (Winkler) Reece; brother in laws Kevin Washnock, Kenny Bruce.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Thursday, May  2, 2024 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Ron Pittman of Bibleway Missionary Baptist Church officiating.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, May  2, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions can be made to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
