Susan A. Smith

Susan A. Smith, age 77 of Springfield, passed away at Miami Valley Hospital on Thursday, April 19, 2018. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on June 3, 1940 the daughter of William and Ellen (Reed) Farthing. On June 7, 1958 she married C. Edward Smith and he preceded her in death in 2014.

She is survived by two daughters, Teresa Ellen Smith of Springfield and Cheryl Lee (Nino) Trotti of Clearwater, Florida; one sister, Emma Frances (Charles W.) Henne of Cincinnati; one brother, William King Farthing of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Anthony (Ari) Trotti, Dustin (Erika) Geisel, Casey Petro, and Domenic (Erica) Trotti; five great grandchildren, Isabella Jane Trotti, Owen Michael Richardson, Rowan Geisel, Sophia Trotti, and Ava Disenso; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Harvey Eugene Farthing.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
