Susan Truman

Susan Truman, age 87 of Hamilton passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 6:02 AM. She was born in Rockcastle County, Kentucky on September 19, 1921 the daughter of Wilburn and Laura (Helton) Saylor. Susan attended Pater Avenue Pentecostal Church of God throughout her youth. On June 26, 1941 in Hamilton she married Orville Truman.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Orville Truman of Hamilton; a son, Larry Dale Truman of Hamilton; three daughters, Lynnette Truman Arndt of Hamilton, Laura Lee Taylor of Forney, Texas, and Joella Truman Cupp of Hamilton; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Janet Marie Farley; ten brothers; and four sisters.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Willard Baker, Pastor of Pater Avenue Free Pentecostal Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
