Susan A. Jones

Susan A. Jones, age 68 of Hamilton, passed away at her home on Thursday, September 26, 2024. Susan was born in Hamilton, Ohio on August 18, 1956 to William Frederick Laubenstein and Ora Dell (nee Dixon) Reece. On July 27, 1974, she married the love of her life, Larry Jones. She was a proud mother, mamaw and great-mamaw. Susan loved scary movies, Elvis, lighthouses and BINGO. She was always a strong woman and always put

others before herself. Susan loved her family with all her heart.

Susan is survived by her husband of 50 years, Larry Jones Sr.; her children, Larry Jones Jr., Jerry (Renee) Jones, Sandra Lickliter and Daniel (Delilah Pate) Jones; her grandchildren, Jerry Jr., Shane, Jacob, Cheyenne, Jared, Kyrsten, Alexis and Emma; her great-grandson, Cameron; her brothers, William “Poot” (Cathy), Scott and Eric Laubenstein; and many other family members and friends. Susan was preceded in death by her mother, Ora Dell Reece; her father, William Frederick (Linda) Laubenstein; her sister, Shirley Laubenstein; and her brothers, David Wells, Elmer Wells, and Clark Prickett.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM.

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
