Sybil York

Sybil York, age 91 of Hamilton, passed away at Birchwood Care Center on Monday, January 12, 2015. She was born in Clay Co. KY on August 19, 1923 to Fred and Ethel (Greer) Buttery. She was a charter member of Princeton Pike Church of God. Sybil loved and enjoyed being with her family. On July 14, 1940 in Middletown, she married Burman York, who preceded her in death in 1991.

She is survived by her daughter Judy (Tom) Long; two grandchildren, Tommy Long, Jody Long; and one sister, Jean Schulte, and many neices, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by parents; two brothers, Paul Buttery and Virgil Buttery; and one sister Rella Minelli.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 12Noon with Pastor Rick Witt officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015 from 10AM-12noon at the funeral home.
