Sylvania "Sylvia" Domonkos

Sylvania "Sylvia" Domonkos, age 92 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Saturday, January 31, 2015. She was born in Cumberland, KY on August 25, 1922 to Charlie and Judy (Williams) Couch. Sylvia was employed at Mercy Hospital in Hamilton for 27 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of Community Church. Sylvia also co-founded the Liberty Twp. Life Squad Unit in 1974. On September 13, 1946 in Harlan Co., KY, she married Willie Domonkos, and he preceded her in death in 2000.

She is survived by three children, James (Sharon) Feltner, Rolan Feltner, and Hubert Feltner; 8 grandchildren, Gayle, Monica, Jim, Misty, Jason, Melissa, Andy, and Chris; 17 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; one brother, Leroy (June) Couch; special friends, Dave (Marie) Hill and Lois Eades. She was preceded in death by her parents; four siblings, Pete Couch, Elbert Couch, Josephine Quillen, and Isabelle Saylor.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday February 5, 2015 at 9AM with Rev. Jackie Woodward officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 4, 2015 from 5PM-8PM at the funeral home.
