Sylvia Ann Baker

Sylvia Ann Baker, age 72 of Hamilton passed away at Sunrise Senior Living on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 7:02 PM. She was born in Hamilton on June 27, 1935 the daughter of Lawrence and Katherine (Ward) Lenhoff. Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the Accounts Receivable Department for Butler Metropolitan Housing Authority. Sylvia was a member of the Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Amvets #1983, Eagles #3986, Moose #28, and was on the Central Committee for the Republican Party. On February 25, 1956 in Liberty, Indiana she married William John Baker, Sr. who preceded her in death in 2005.

She is survived by three children, Sherrie Kirkland and Cynthia (Bob) Ritchie, both of Fairfield, and William John (Lisa) Baker, Jr. of Oxford; one sister, Vicky Jean (Harold) Roth of Hamilton; three grandchildren, Christina Kasnic, Shauna Kirkland, and Adriel Kirkland II; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Lenhoff; mother, Katherine Moore; son-in-law, Adriel Kirkland I; and a great–grandchild.

Family and friends are invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 2550 Millville Road, on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at St. Stephen’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed to Children’s Hospital. Sylvia and her family thank all the staff at Sunrise Assisted Living for all their care and concerns during her stay there.
