Sylvia Bryant, age 81, of Hamilton, passed away in her residence on Thursday, November 15, 2007 at 4:40 PM. She was born in Holden, West Virginia on May 25, 1926, the daughter of Frank and Bertha (Farley) Dingess. Sylvia was a member of the Princeton Pike Church of God and was employed in sales for various department stores for fifteen years, retiring in 1980.
She is survived by one son, David (Betty) Bryant of Hamilton; two daughters, Judy (James) Carr of Pontiac, Michigan and Burma Lynn Harrison of Hamilton; also eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Naaman, Otis, Dell, Fred, and Gene Dingess; four sisters, Ruth Nelson, Pearl Thomas, Osa Dingess, and Dessie Workman; and one grandchild, Rodney Bryant.
Funeral services will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 10 AM with Rev. Barry Clardy, pastor of the Princeton Pike Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 5 to 8 PM. The family request, memorials to the Princeton Pike Church of God.
