Sylvia Vennefron

Sylvia Vennefron, age 52 of Hamilton, passed away, after a courageous battle against cancer, surrounded by family, on Monday, April 17, 2017. Sylvia was born in Bonn, Germany on June 11, 1964 to Hans and Heidemarie (Steneberg) Schmithuesen. Sylvia graduated from Fairfield High School Class ’82 and graduated from Miami University in 1986 with a degree in International Business. She was a member and Lay Assistant at Lord of Life Lutheran Church. She worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance Group for 20 years. Sylvia attended Dare to Dance Studios, in Blue Ash, for weekly classes, private lessons, and showcases. She enjoyed spending her time golfing, bowling, cooking, planting flowers, and spending time with her children.

Sylvia is survived by her children, Benjamin and Elizabeth Vennefron; her parents, Hans and Heidemarie Schmithuesen; her sister, Claudia Ellwood; her faithful companion, Daisy; and many other loving family members and friends.

Memorial service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 7:00 PM with Lowell Michelson officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her great friends, Kelly Leone, Carolyn Kinsey, and Kim Savage for all their love and support during these times.
