T. Opal Talbott

T. Opal Talbott, "Miss T.," age 87 of Hamilton passed away at Huntington Court on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 7:19 AM. She was born in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky on March 17, 1923 the daughter of William S. and Mattie (Hansel) Manis. Opal was a member of New Life Baptist Mission. On December 15, 1945 she married Charles W. Talbott, and he preceded her in death on March 16, 1983, after 38 years of marriage. Opal was a loving wife and mother, kind and gracious to everyone she met. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by six sons, Glenn (Robyn) Talbott of Cleveland, Ohio, Frank Talbott of Hamilton, William D. (Angie) Talbott of Somerset, Kentucky, Gary (Liz) Talbott, Mark Talbott, and Larry (Shelly) Talbott, all of Hamilton; two daughters, Charlene Sanders and Lee Mikula, both of Hamilton; a brother, Paul Manis of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky; three sisters, Geneva Sowder of Fairfield, Willie Holcomb of Hamilton, and Ruth Reed of Winchester, Kentucky; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and three brothers.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon.
