Ted E. Davis

Ted E. Davis, age 73 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 2:05 PM. He was born in Hamilton on May 4, 1938 the son of Harvey E. and Ruth Marie (Barker) Davis. Ted was employed in maintenance for the City of Hamilton Parks Department for 25 years, retiring in 2008.

He is survived by three children, Ruth Ann (Eric) Riddle, Oma Ramirez, and Rodney Davis, all of Hamilton; three brothers, James Davis, Raymond (Carol) Davis, both of Hamilton, and Johnny (Sherri) Davis of Lenoir, North Carolina; a sister, Darlene (Rodney) Miller of Hamilton; six grandchildren, Savanna, Autumn, Alicia, Tammy, Kelsy, and Tony; a great-grandson, Isiah Zane Ernest Davis; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Darrow Wayne Davis; and two sisters, Hilda Robertson and Anna Davis-Spiers.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Valerie Trissell of God’s Temple officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
