Ted Lee Marcum, age 72, of Hamilton, passed away at his home on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at 11:30 AM. He was born in Hamilton on June 22, 1935 the son of Henry C. and Rachel (Garland) Marcum. A 1952 graduate of Wilson High School, he was employed for 44 years as a laborer at Champion Paper. In 1960 in Jellico, Tennessee he married Anna Marie Marcum who survives.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three sons, Doug Marcum, Jerry (Donna) Marcum, and Teddy (Sandy) Marcum all of Hamilton; two daughters, Christine (Vince) Prenna of Chicago, Illinois and Valarie (Joe) Chastang of Fairfield; three step-sons, Gary (Wanda) Gray and Ronnie (Donna) Gray both of Hamilton, and Randall (Kathy) Gray of Marietta, Georgia; a step-daughter, Wanda (JR) Hall of Englewood; 27 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Kenny (Pat) Marcum of Hamilton and John (Susie) Marcum of Quincy, Michigan. He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Marcum; a step-son Kenny Hurst; two brothers, Miley Marcum and Gerald Marcum; and a sister, Thelma Rogers.
Funeral services will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave. on Friday, Nov. 9th at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Doug, Veda, Todd, Valerie, Wanda, Dr. Roper and associates, the staff of Hospice of Hamilton, and all the family.
