Teenie Andrew Smith

Viola “Teenie” Andrew Smith, age 92 of Oxford, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Friday, August 22, 2025. Known to most as Teenie, she was born in Hamilton, Ohio on February 6, 1933 to the late James and Mabel (Garrett) Andrew. Teenie graduated from Stewart Public School in Oxford, class of 1951. Teenie married Robert H. Smith on April 10,1954 and worked in banking from 1961 until her retirement from Bank One in 1983.

Teenie will be dearly missed by her children, Robert A. (Dora) Smith, Cindy Kist, and Melanie L. Clayton; her grandchildren, Emily Smith, Katie Smith, Tim (Mary) Kist, Danny Kist, Kelly (Curtis) Rouse, and Phillip (Katharine) Clayton; her great-grandchildren, Alex Bryant, David Rouse, Wyatt Rouse, Savannah Kist, Maverick Kist, William Kist, Calista Clayton, Jackson Clayton, Lane Clayton, Cayson Clayton, and Phillip Clayton; her brother, Norman (Carol) Andrews; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Teenie was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert H. Smith; her son-in-law, Jim Kist; and her four brothers and three sisters.

As Teenie’s favorite color was red, attendees are invited to wear red to celebrate her life.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025 from 11:00 AM until her Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home – Westside Chapel, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, OH 45013. Burial will follow at Oxford Cemetery.
