Terrence "Terry" E. Overbey

Terrence "Terry" E. Overbey, age 73 of Hamilton, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 16, 2015. He was born in Hamilton on January 14, 1942 to Robert and Ruth (Chalfant) Overbey. Terry was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was employed at Pease from 1966-1976 and was employed at the City of Hamilton until retiring in 2000. He was one of the areas top senior bowlers holding all offices concerning bowling; was a former Scout Master and Cub Scout Master; and was a member of the Amvets and the Eagles. He ran his own roofing business for 45 years and loved construction work. He loved doing for others and putting them first.

He is survived by his wife Linda Overbey; eleven children, Shane (Angie) Overbey, Shawn Overbey, David Overbey, Tina Waters, Tracy Neal, Debi McCoy, Denver Hamblin, Chris Rhodus, Candi Marcum, Brian (Suellen) Gray, Lisa (Shaun) Campbell; one sister, Melinda (John) Schuerfranz; special sister in law, JoAnn (John) Houk; 31 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Robert, Michael, and unknown stillborn.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 10AM with Pastor Shaun Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2015 from 5PM-8PM at the funeral home.
