Terry Lee Smith

Terry Lee Smith, age 56, husband, dad, and friend died on February 15, 2009 at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born on January 10, 1953 to Charles and Arzella Smith. Terry graduated from Fairfield High School and afterward joined the U.S. Navy. He worked for Kornylak Corporation for 28 years and was recently employed at Mine Design and Equipment. Terry loved to fish, ride his Harley, and be with family and friends, and will be deeply missed by all. He was a member of St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church. He later married Joyce, who survives. Terry is also survived by his daughter, Angie Shaffer; son-in-law, Mike Shaffer; grandchildren Cody, Amber, Mia, and Brayden; his mother, Arzella (Roscoe) Babb; and siblings with whom Terry was raised, Wayne, Charlotte, Gloria, Les, and Vickie. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles, and his brother, Doug.

Funeral blessing will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Deacon Bill Renneker officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati. Terry’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Hospice of Hamilton for their care and concern.
