Thelma J. Wolke

Thelma J. Wolke, age 94 of Hamilton, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024. Thelma was born in Hamilton, Ohio on February 28, 1930 to the late Frederick William Bach and Mary Frances (Durbin) Bach. Thelma graduated Notre Dame High School in Hamilton and married the love of her life, Robert Wolke on February 23, 1952. Her husband, Bob, was a career firefighter with the Hamilton Fire Department. Together they raised a family of 7 children. Later, after the kids were grown, Thelma worked for the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles as a clerk for many years. Thelma was a life-long member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.

Thelma will be dearly missed by her children, Robert (Joyce) Wolke, Jr., Fred (Kay) Wolke, Debbie Baumann, Ron (Dawna) Wolke, Saundra Smith, Brenda (Bob) Woodward, and Mike (Michele) Wolke; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members and friends.

Thelma was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Robert D. Wolke, Sr.; her sister, Hilda (Jim) Meyer; her son-in-law, David Baumann; and her grandson, Kevin and great-grandson, Junior.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 171 Washington St., Hamilton, Ohio, on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 12:00 NOON. Burial will follow at St. Stephen Cemetery.
