Theresa P. Dilorenzo

Theresa P. DiLorenzo, age 83 of Wayne Township passed away at Liberty Retirement Community of Middletown on Wednesday, August 26, 2009. She was born in Hamilton on November 19, 1925 the daughter of Anthony and Teresa (Carona) Parrotta. Theresa was an Avon representative for over 30 years. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards with her friends, and dedicated her life to her family, especially her grandchildren. Theresa was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. In May, 1946 she married Ernest DiLorenzo, who preceded her in death in 1994.

She is survived by a daughter, Tina (Ted) Ritter of Wayne Township; three grandchildren, Debbie (Ryan) Curry of Wayne Township, Desiree (Mark) Woodruff of Indianapolis, and Danielle (Brandon Grubb) Ritter of Wayne Township; eight great-grandchildren, Christopher, Katie Beth, Kevin, Carolyn, Courtney, Corey, Curtis, and Logan; and special nieces and nephew, Angelina Napier, Debbie Abston, Roseann Lange, and Gary Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and seven siblings.

A funeral blessing will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 1:00 PM with Fr. John Civille officiating. Entombment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Middletown. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Red Unit at Liberty Retirement Community for their care and concern.
