Thomas A. Bakonyi

Thomas A. Bakonyi, age 57 of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on August 31, 1964 to Endre and Erika (Berghaler) Bakonyi.  Thomas served in the Army for 19 years.  After the Army he retired as an IT professional from MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station). Thomas loved fishing, hunting and spending time outdoors with family and friends.

Thomas is survived by his brother, Michael Bakonyi; aunt, Erika (John) Gecse; cousins, Susan Gecse, Yvette (Jimmy) Houck, Jeanette (Kevin) Harriman, and John (Stacie) Gecse; niece, Torri (Austin) Lowe; and numerous other relatives and friends. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and brother, George Bakonyi.

Graveside service will be held at Millville Cemetery, 2289 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 1:00PM with burial to follow. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
