Thomas Ribern Clair Jr., age 62 of Hamilton passed away at his residence on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 10:45 AM. He was born in Hamilton on February 26, 1948 the son Thomas R. Clair and Doris Jean (Stephens) Petitt. Thomas served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was employed at Champion International Paper as a machine operator for 33 years. On May 6, 1978 in Hamilton he married Carol Hauck.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Clair of Hamilton; two sons, Adam Clair and John Clair, both of Hamilton; two daughters, Susie Dawson of Hamilton, and Vanessa (Mike) Price of Liberty Township; four sisters, Sandra (John) Dudley of Sunman, Indiana, Frankie (Robert) Burke of Dayton, Carol (Chester) Newton of Somerville, and Kathy (Elbert) Drake of Camden; two brothers, William (Virginia) Bennett of Georgia, and Gary (Martha) Bennett of South Carolina; and four grandchildren, Devon and Kody Dawson of Hamilton, and Brianna and Chase Price of Liberty Township. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Marcella Couch and Louise Ruhlman.
Funeral Service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Neil Gabbard officiating. Burial will follow in Preble Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM.
