Thomas "Tommy" Phillips, age 75 of Hamilton passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Monday, May 23, 2011 at 1:23 PM. He was born in Beattyville, Kentucky on November 1, 1935 the son of Carl and Irene (Durbin) Phillips. Tommy was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. On January 5, 1996 in Hamilton, he married Judy (French) Roark.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Phillips of Hamilton; two children, Carol Benz and Bill (Melissa) Roark, both of Hamilton; a grandson, Perry Thomas Roark; a sister, Laura (Ronald) Vance of Cleves; a grandson, Brad (Chrissy) Hurst; and a number of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Phillips and Irene Phillips-Lovins, and three siblings.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 1:00 PM with Tom’s family and friends officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
