Timothy Kellum

November 11, 1957 — January 27, 2022

Timothy J. Kellum, age 64 of Fairfield, passed away at Mercy Fairfield Hospital on Thursday, January 27, 2022. Tim was born in Hamilton, Ohio on November 11, 1957 to William and Betty (Collins) Kellum. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1976, and is an alumni of Bowling Green in Western Kentucky. Tim was and will always be a Western Kentucky Hilltopper. He was inducted into the Fairfield hall of fame on November 17, 2017. He held multiple state records for baseball, was a 3 time letterman, all G.A.C, All Ohio in 1976, holds the all time save record at Fairfield High School, and was the first freshman in school history to win Rookie of the Year. Tim loved America and the men and women who serve their country. At the VFW Post 7670 he was on the Board of Officers to create the first VFW in Ohio to accept a Sons Charter. He was very involved at AMVETS Post 71 where he was a member for 22 years. Tim was past commander of the Sons Chapter, and he and his fellow Sons were so proud of the hard work that went into building the awesome shelter at the club. VFW Post 1069; Tim supported this club in any way that he could- painting, remodeling, and if there was anything they needed he was there. He served on the color guard, took pride in laying the wreaths across America, and he was always looking to help anyone that he could. Tim was one of a kind, and he always said “treat people the way you want them to treat you” and that’s what he did. Tim will always be remembered by his beautiful voice and his huge smile. He loved fishing, baseball, and his family. Let me tell you, there will never be anyone better than Tim Kellum to live up to our standards.

Tim is survived by his wife of 37 years, Penny (Mullins) Kellum; daughter, Natalie (Marshall) Kellum-Zenon; son, Timmy (Emily) Kellum II; granddaughters, Amira, Ivy-Lou, and Halle-Bear; sisters, Cindy (Gary) Schwarm and Colleen (Scott) Pertile; brother, William “Bill” (Cindy) Kellum; sister-in-law, Anna Kellum; a very special cousin, David “Cuz” Collins; and numerous other relatives and friends.
