Timothy W. Retherford

Timothy W. Retherford, age 48 of Hamilton passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 10:02 PM. He was born in Hamilton on October 15, 1960 the son of Damon and Oma (Smith) Retherford. Timothy was employed as a machine operator at Duro Dyne for the past three years. On February 25, 1992 in Hamilton, he married Carolyn Rush.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Retherford of Hamilton; four children, Anthony Retherford of Hamilton, Adam Taylor of Middletown, Doug Rush of Hamilton, and Carolyn (fiancé Steve Bowling) Bailey of Hamilton; his parents, Damon and Oma Retherford of Millville; two granddaughters, Anna and Autumn Bowling; a brother, Ronnie (Evelyn Spurlock) Retherford of Hamilton; three sisters, Gloria (Jack) Wahl of Hamilton, Kathy (Bobby) Baker of Oxford, and Evon Day of Hamilton; his best buddy, Grant Geisler; in-laws, Elbert and Wanda Rush; brother-in-law, Elbert (Cindy) Rush Jr.; four sisters-in-law, Joanne (Greg) Rand, Brenda (Roger) Geisler, Joyce (Gordie) Hacker, and Wanda (Bill) Parker; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Retherford.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Fred Baker of Baptist Chapel Church officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
