Travis Allen Whitaker, age 21 of Hamilton, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Saturday, December 27, 2025. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on April 30, 2004 the son of Kristopher Whitaker and Kimberly Tipton.
Travis was a gentle soul with a heart of gold. He had so much generosity and love that he gave to others daily. Travis befriended everyone he knew, and he was very well known and respected by his peers. Travis had an absolute love for working on cars and for music. He loved music from a very young age, from playing the guitar to always listening to music and singing. Travis also loved Christ and he attended Pentecostal Faith Church in New Miami. He gained a love for Big Rigs at a young age from his great uncle, Tim. Travis knew anything and everything about Big Rigs or any automobile for that matter. He was also known for his charm and wit of being a jokester, he lived a life of laughing, joking and loving his family and friends. He was the best storyteller and loved to make people laugh.
Travis is survived by his parents, Kristopher Whitaker and Kimberly Tipton; grandparents, Kay Whitaker and Jimmy and Lisa Tipton; aunts and uncles, Kristina (Tracy Clark) Whitaker, Karri Whitaker, and Wesley (Shelby) Tipton; great grandparents, Jim and Nancy Tipton; two great aunts, Renay Begley and Shannon Whitaker; two great uncles, Tim (Lisa) Whitaker and Ronald (Amy) Tipton; his cousins, Michael Whitaker and Aubree Tipton; his special best friend/cousin, Jennis Walling; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Travis was preceded in death by his grandfather, Mark Whitaker; great grandparents, Jim and Fay Whitaker, Frank and Grace Couch, and Helen Moak; great great grandmother, Glenora Tipton; great uncles, Gary Foley and Scott Bundy; and great aunt, Pamela Rogers Spina.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Steve Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and doctors in the ER and ICU at Fort Hamilton Hospital for all their care and support and assisting and treating Travis as if he was one of their own during the time that mattered the most and to Pastor Steve Allen from Pentecostal Faith Church for being there for the family with your support and prayers during this difficult time.
