Tyler James Fisher

Tyler James Fisher, age 21 months of Hamilton passed away at Children’s Hospital. He was born in Fairfield on July 27, 2005 the son of Adam and Cindi (Schueler) Fisher. Tyler was admitted with acute liver failure in November, 2006. Over the next five months he was diagnosed with SCIDS, HLH, EBV, and PTLD. Tyler fought hard with a liver transplant and bone marrow transplant, but the complications from the diseases were too much. He died in his parents’ arms on May 18, 2007 at 10:20 AM. Tyler showed exceptional strength in his fight to survive.

He is survived by his parents, Adam and Cindi Fisher of Hamilton; grandparents Joe and Linda (Sadowski) Schueler and Harold and Laura (Cooper) Abner, all of Ross; aunts and uncles, Bill and Alana (Fisher) Retherford, Daron and Jodi (Schueler) Rhoads, Joey and Ginny (Sims) Schueler, and Ashley Abner; and cousins, Sydney, Olivia, Sophia, Cayden, and Gunner.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 171 Washington Street, on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue. The family extends a special thank you to Dr. John Bucovalous and the entire nursing staff and therapists of Children’s Hospital, including Tyler’s exceptional nurse, Shivonne, and also everyone who helped with Tyler’s benefit. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tyler Fisher Benefit Fund at any Fifth Third Bank branch.
