Vada Drew

Vada J. Drew, age 83 of Fairfield, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024. Vada was born in McKee, Kentucky on March 20, 1941 to the late Willis and Liza (Arvin) Smith. On January 12, 1963, she married the love of her life, Leonard Drew. Vada was a long time member of Lighthouse Church of God in South Lebanon before attending True Faith Holiness Church. Vada was a firecracker that was quick to get excited, but always kind and forgiving. She worked many years in nursing homes. She had a big heart full of compassion and loved taking care of the elderly. Above all, Vada will be remembered for her kindness and love that she had for God and her family.

Vada is survived by her siblings, Everett (Ora) Smith, Ann Salmon, Linda Prince, Kay (Johnny) Peters, Kenneth (Wanda) Smith; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, church family and friends.

Vada was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leonard Drew; her sisters, Avenell Wilson and Fanny Maye Smith; her brothers, Herschel Smith, O’Dell Smith, Eudean Smith, Willis “Junior” Smith, Jack Smith, and Carl Smith.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 11:00 AM until the time of her Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, OH 45013 with Rev. David Hensley and Rev. Edward “Junior” Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow at Darrtown Cemetery.
