Velda J. Roberts

Velda J. Roberts, age 72 of Hamilton, peacefully left her eartly body to dance with her daughter in a heavenly field of flowers and sit along the golden shores on Thursday, November 3, 2016. Velda was born in Leslie Co., Kentucky on May 5, 1944 to Sylvester Scalf and Mollie (Bowling) Scalf. In 1960 in Jellico, TN, Velda married Cecil Roberts, and he preceded her in death.

Velda is survived by her children, Patricia (Eric Durrough) Roberts, Kenny (Sherry) Roberts,Identical twins, Mark (Cassie) Roberts, Michael (Rebecca) Roberts; fifteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; three brothers, Lester Scalf, Oscar Scalf, and James Scalf; two sisters, Linda (Gary) Bryant and Barbara (Brad Caudill) Scalf; and numerous nieces and nephews, other family and friends. Velda was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Kelly Roberts; two brothers Lonnie Scalf and Victor Scalf; and one sister Pauline Scalf.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 8, 2016 from 10:00AM-11:00AM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Huntington Court, Hospice of Cincinnati, and Dr. Sargero, Dr. Mitel, and Dr. Slivka.
