Velma (Holland) Bell, age 77 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Thursday, January 25, 2024. Velma was born in Clay County, Kentucky on October 12, 1946 to the late Malvin and Mildred (Retherford) Holland. Velma graduated Garfield High School, Class of 1964. In the fall of 1969, she married the love of her life, Carl Bell. Together, they raised a family in Hamilton. She was a homemaker for many years and when her sons were old enough, she went to work at Fairfield Medical Group. She was a member of Greenhills United Baptist Church for over 50 years. Velma loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
Velma will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 53 years, Carl Bell; her sons, Jason (Verla) Bell and David (Tiffany) Bell; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Justin) Moore, Courtney (Reid) Bagley, Hannah Bolin, Logan Bell, Lorelai Bell, Deacon Bell, and Ruby Bell; her great-grandchildren, Greyson & Adaline Moore; her siblings, George (June) Holland, Alfred “Dee” (Judy) Holland, Rebecca (Frank) Bowling, Phyllis (Ray) Hubbard, Shirley (Lee Wayne) Hibbard and Bobby (Vanessa) Holland; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins that she loved dearly.
Velma is reunited in Heaven with her parents and her siblings, James & Alice Holland, Earl Holland, Eulah Atwell, Verna Lee Holland and Emma Christine Holland.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 10:30 AM until the time of her Funeral Service at 12:30 PM at Greenhills United Baptist Church 2087 Fenton St., Hamilton, Ohio 45011 with Pastor Tim Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be gifted to Greenhills United Baptist Church.
