Venson "Vic" Ratliff, age 76 of Hamilton passed away at Butler County Care Facility on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 10:00 PM. He was born in Hazard, Kentucky on November 18, 1935 the son of Lawrence and Helen (Creech) Ratliff. Vic was employed in the gas & water department for the City of Hamilton for 30 years, retiring in 1995. On October 23, 1965 in Hamilton, he married Verna I. Agee.
He is survived by his wife, Verna I. Ratliff of Hamilton; a stepdaughter, Donna Lynn Ried of Hamilton; two brothers, Rollin (Carolyn) Ratliff of Kettering and Van (Shirley) Ratliff of Hamilton; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Arnold, Malcolm, Mitchell, and David Ratliff; and three sisters, Corinthian Burnett, Opal Poe, and Bonnie Boggs.
Funeral service will be held at the Pater Avenue Free Pentecostal Church of God, 1321 Pater Avenue, on Monday, April 9. 2012 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Denny Matheny officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at Monday at the church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
