Vercie E. Parson

Vercie E. Parson, age 76 of Hamilton passed away at Golden Years Health Care on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 3:18 AM. She was born in London, Kentucky on January 25, 1931 the daughter of Tice and Gracie (Hubbard) Sturgill.

She is survived by a son, Curtis (Donna) Parson of Amelia; two daughters, Brenda (Joe) Swain-Konochik of Tamarac, Florida and Frances (George) Hammons of Hamilton; four brothers, Raymond (Judy) Sturgill of Hamilton, Andrew (Louise) Sturgill of Oxford, Donny (Debbie) Sturgill and Elmer Sturgill, both of Indiana; five sisters, Janie (Howard) of Hamilton, Mildred Brock of Indiana, Hettie (Don) Taulbe, Shirley (Van) Ratliff, both of Hamilton, and Phyllis Wethers of Indiana; six grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Larry Sturgill; and a sister, Juanita Harris.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Jacob Flannery officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
